Real Weight Loss Solutions - The Truth, Finally

In my humble opinion the hardest thing to find these days is the truth - about almost anything. I know everyone has their own slant about what is true for them, but somewhere there has to be some universal truths we can rely on.

The giraffe to me is a great metaphor for not only what you'll look like if you eat too much fast food, but it also represents how much crap - untruthful information, useless information, swine flu information, over-hyped information, etc. - that we have inside us that has us ready to explode at any moment.

The internet has become so congested with crap that it's almost too painful to plow through. On this blog site there are ads that I cringe at because I know the "lose 18 lbs in 4 days" stuff is just not true. I write for Ezine Articles, also on the topic of weight loss, and when you look at the article you can hardly see it because it's surrounded by so much drivel.

I asked the question on Twitter the other day, "doesn't anyone communicate with each other anymore or do we just pitch stuff at each other"? One person responded that he communicates once in a while.

So how do you figure out what is the truth and what isn't? The keyword in the answer is "think". I started this blog process with the premise that I would focus on presenting "common sense" information with scientific support that came from people I trusted. Thinking is critical. If all the diets out there like Atkins, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, South Beach, NutriSystem, body cleanses, low carb, high protein, and on and on, worked as advertised then why are almost 65% of Americans fat?

Let me leave you today with two suggestions to "think" about. If you or someone you know has been taken in and disappointed by any of the above or other plans, you need to check out the opening page of the Diet Solution to see why they all fail in the long run. Isabel will share some great, common sense information that if you think about it, you'll know it's true.

The second suggestion is to visit a site where you'll find information on the second phase of my weight loss journey - Cheat Your Way Thin The "cheat" word may sound "hypey" but it is scientifically supported that you must maintain a high metabolism and high leptin hormone level to successfully lose weight. No other diet plan accounts for that fact and it's why people try them, lose a little weight, plateau and get frustrated, then get off the diet and put the weight right back on.

I'll be implementing this program starting tomorrow morning to "push" to my goal by Memorial Day and then reach my second goal by my birthday in August. I'll keep you informed on the progress, but check it out and see if it makes sense to you.

Your comments are always welcomed.

Well, that's all I've got for today - and that's the "truth"!
